On either side of the Vice President are two abstract forms of symbolism. On the left is an Adinkra symbol from West Africa called "Tabono", which means strength, unity of purpose, confidence, and hard work in the pursuit of a goal. To the right are abstract lotus flowers, to represent the name "Kamala"

A watercolor sun rises behind her to symbolize her ascendance to the White House. Finally, she is wearing a green tone, and behind her is a pink tone, to represent her pledge to the historic Black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.

This piece was selected as a runner up for the film poster of "Kamala the Film".
